Besides writing books, I have been hired often to help lay out and edit books.
Here’s the most recent project that I was involved with, and the story behind it. I met Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer George Fox in April 2024 at the Toronto Sports Card Expo, and he hired me to edit and layout his book, called Trail of the Fox: A Musician’s Memoir. First we did a paperback he could sell on tour, and then came the hardcover, which is finally available for people to buy, as he struck a distribution deal even if it’s self-published. The story behind the book is in my Society for International Hockey Research column … since there’s hockey in the book!
In the acknowledgements, George Fox wrote: “First and foremost, for his tremendous help getting things across the finish line, I would like to thank Greg Oliver. His determination in helping me edit and lay out the book—putting his full expertise (and patience, I’m sure!) towards its completion—is much appreciated.”

Lunatic: The Luna Vachon Story

LISTEN TO MADUSA!
I have been remiss in promoting the fact that The Woman Who Would Be King: The Madusa Story is now available as an audio book wherever you get your audio books. Of all my books, I think I am most proud of this one, as it is an amazing, hard-to-believe story that bounces from funny to heartbreaking, never losing its humanity. Now, that said, it’s Madusa reading the book for 10 hours … so imagine how many hours I got to talk to her to put the book together! Buckle up, it’s a bumpy ride!
