Volume 1 Detroit territory 1969-74
By Brad McFarlin
Edited by Greg Oliver
Brad McFarlin, a lifetime wrestling fan and resident of the Detroit area, has opened up his photographic archives, giving readers a rare glimpse into the Big Time Wrestling promotion run by The Sheik.
Volume 1 features photos from 1969 to 1974.
Besides the blood and fire of The Sheik, there’s a look into competing promotions, wrestlers away from the ring, rookies on the rise (like a very young Randy Savage), women, little people, bears! Oh my!
And there’s a short history of the Detroit territory during this time period by celebrated author Brian S. Solomon.
Curated and edited by Greg Oliver, The Lens of Brad McFarlin: Volume 1 Detroit territory 1969-74 is a treat for wrestling fans!
